Elsa Woodarek

Elsa Woodarek is a 2022 graduate of Ellicottville Central School and a current senior at Elizabethtown College, majoring in public health and political science with a minor in philosophy. A National Stamps Scholar and Honors Program student, she has combined academic excellence with hands-on experience in both policy and community health.

Through study abroad programs in Italy and Uganda, Elsa gained a global perspective on healthcare systems and disparities. She further explore her interest in public service through internships with the Pennsylvania House of Representatives Health Committee and the Office of U.S. Senator Kristen Gillibrand, where she contributed to legislative research and constituent engagement.

Elsa’s commitment to service began early, as she founded the ECS Caring Closet in high school, which supported students and families in need. On campus, Elsa is an active leader, serving as a student assistant for the Center for Community and Civic Engagement and as a member of the Pi Sigma Alpha Political Science Honor Society. She is also a certified yoga teacher and teaches classes on campus.

Elsa plans to continue her work in public health and policy, using her education and experiences to make a meaningful impact in communities near and far.
