Emma Fiske
Emma Fiske, a 2020 graduate of Salamanca High School, began her graduate studies in Communication Sciences and Disorders this Spring semester, after completing her undergraduate work in just three years. She will earn her master’s degree in speech-language pathology with an interdisciplinary specialty in Autism. At Nazareth she is also a member of the communication sciences and disorders club. She is the secretary of the Best Buddies Club, an inclusive that club that pairs students with disabilities and students without disabilities in friendship pairings. She also is a group leader for a Christian life group on campus where she leads bible study discussions and a prayer group. She has also become deeply involved in a number of campus organizations that do important work in the Rochester community, including Work for Partners for Learning. Through the program, Emma works as a teacher’s aid in Rochester City schools, leads enrichment activities and tutors students. She is now a part of the program’s leadership and acts as a liaison between Nazareth and Rochester City schools. She plans to go on to work as a school speech language pathologist.
