Natalie Sova
Natalie Sova, a recipient of the 2018 Patricia McCarthy Memorial Scholarship and John J. Murphy Family Scholarship, has continued her active involvement outside of the classroom since graduating from Olean High School.
Sova, a health service administration and business analytics major at Ohio University’s Honors Tutorial College, is a member of the school’s Schey Sales Centre, Enactus and Aisec and also works as a tour guide. Sova serves as director of alumni relations for the sales centre, which helps connect students with internships and professional development opportunities, and helped organize the centre’s twentieth anniversary gala event this year.
As a member of Enactus, Sova helped consult for local human societies, even encouraging a local humane society to purchase a physical location to further the society’s services. Sova and her team then had the opportunity to present their project at the Enactus National Exposition.
As a member of AIESEC, Sova had the opportunity to participate in a cultural exchange program in Costa Rica, where she helped teach life skills workshops to young adults with intellectual disabilities. Through the school’s recreational classes she also had the opportunity to participate in caving and white water kayaking trips in Virginia and West Virginia.
