The Cattaraugus Region Community Foundation will once again offer small-group workshops in the fall to help local nonprofit prepare for Cattaraugus Gives, a 24-hour online fundraising event that brings organizations from across the region together for a day of giving, competition and collaboration.
The workshops return following a record-breaking year for Cattaraugus Gives. In 2025, 100 participating organizations together raised more than $371,000, making it the most successful Cattaraugus Gives to date.
Now entering its eighth year, Cattaraugus Gives has become an important annual fundraising opportunity for nonprofits throughout the region. Since the initiative began, the community has come together to raise millions of dollars in support of local organizations and the work they do every day.
To build on that momentum, CRCF will again offer a series of smaller, hands-on workshops designed to give nonprofit professionals and volunteers practical tools and individualized support as they prepare for this year’s giving day.
Led by CRCF Communications and Fund Development Manager and Cattaraugus Gives Coordinator Tyler Veno, the workshops will focus on fundraising strategies, marketing and communications, storytelling, donor engagement and other tools organizations can use to maximize their impact during Cattaraugus Gives.
Gearing up for his third year leading the initiative, Veno stated that the more personalized format took organizations to new heights in 2025.
“It’s exciting to see how much Cattaraugus Gives has grown, and last year was a real reflection of what our nonprofit community can accomplish together,” said Veno. “The workshops are really about helping each organization find what works for them, strengthen their campaign and feel more confident going into Cattaraugus Gives.”
The workshops, which are limited to six attendees, will take place on Tuesdays throughout the month of October.
Cattaraugus Gives is designed to help nonprofits raise unrestricted funds while introducing their organizations to new donors and strengthening connections with supporters throughout the community. The event also creates opportunities for organizations to learn from one another and celebrate the collective impact of the local nonprofit sector.
