Fifteen Portville graduates receive Portville College Scholarship

Fifteen recent Portville Central School graduates were granted scholarship awards, totaling $8,800, from the Portville College Scholarships Fund at the Cattaraugus Region Community Foundation.

The fund, established by Portville College Scholarships, makes possible scholarships for students who volunteer at the school store or annual Portville College Scholarship phonathon fundraiser.

The following students received awards this year:

  • Alexandra Mitchell - $400
  • Ashley Carls - $400
  • Brady German - $400
  • Kit Yowell - $400
  • Natalie Isaman - $500
  • Natalie Reynolds - $500
  • Owen Faulkner - $500
  • Ryan Hepker - $500
  • Ava Andrews - $600
  • Gianna Aloi - $700
  • Zya DeGolier - $700
  • Christopher Osgood - $800
  • David Brown - $800
  • Cayden Long - $1,200

Cook plans to study mechanical engineering at Lipscomb University. Mitchell plans to study exploratory studies at Slippery Rock University. Carls plans to study early childhood education at St. Bonaventure University.

German plans to study mechanical engineering at Penn State Behrend. Yowell plans to study earth science at Temple University. Isaman plans to study mechanical engineering at Penn State Behrend.

Reynolds plans to study biochemistry at Nazareth University. Faulkner plans to study speech pathology at Nazareth University. Hepker plans to study large machinery operation at Alfred State College.

Andrews plans to study fashion design at the Fashion Institute of Technology. Aloi plans to study radiology at Jamestown Community College. DeGolier plans to study journalism at St. Bonaventure University.

Osgood plans to study applied physics at Columbia University. Brown plans to study video production at St. Bonaventure University. Long plans to study history and adolescent education at Nazareth University.
